We at bruce the Bed King Orford LTD are commited to respecting and protection the privacy of anyone using the site and the confidentiality of any information that you provide us with. The purpose of this statement is to set out how we use any personal information that we may obtain from you.

Data Protection Act 1988 ('the Act')
We are registered under the Data Protection Act and comply with the Act in all our dealing with your personal data.

We do not store any personal information from this website.

Storage

Only information about a customer may be stored if purchases are made over the phone or in-store, this information is used for the following reasons:

• Our own accounts records.
• Proof of purchase.
• For any faulty goods, e.g. exchanges.
• Copies of invoices.
• Product guarantees.

Any information collected is stored securely and never shared with anyone.

We will never pass your details on to third parties, any data held which is provided from you stays within our system only, it will only ever be used for it's intended purpose.

Cookies

Cookies are information packets sent by web servers to web browsers, and stored by the web browsers.

The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables a web server to identify and track web browsers.

There are two main kinds of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are deleted from your computer when you close your browser, whereas persistent cookies remain stored on your computer until deleted, or until they reach their expiry date.

Refusing cookies

Blocking cookies will have a negative impact upon the usability of some websites including ours.

Deletion of Data

After 7 years all personal information will be erased from our internal system except for the name and what was purchased. This is entirely for our account records.

Every 12 months any merchant payment receipts are shredded.

We will never contact you by email unless approached first by yourself requesting information on our products or services and any emails that we do receive will be deleted within a 12 month period from the date the email was received.

Security
We endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. However, we cannot guarantee the security of any data that you disclose online and we will not be responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence or wilful default.

Your rights
You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will aim to inform you before collecting your data if we intend to use your data for such purposes. You can excercise your right to prevent this happening by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data.

General
You have the right to see personal data (as defined under the Data Protection Act) that we keep about you upon recepit of a written request.
